First week registration: 188 signed up
Last week we announced the launch of DrupalCampLA 2009 web-site. That was last Thursday night around 10pm.
The results? After seven full days we have 218 users signed up on the site and 188 people have registered for camp, as indicated on their user profile (days attending).
We have received 34 amazing session proposals. But we’ll need more. If you’re on the fence, please submit a proposal. Check our Forum for ideas if you’re not sure what to talk about? Also, if you want to see something, please post in the same place. You can also contact us and we’ll try to help you refine your ideas.
Also, we have discussed and now plan to add a field for “session length” to the content type so that we can offer sessions of variable length. We anticipate a few sessions will need up to two hrs, more like a good meetup topic. In contrast, we’d also like to encourage some shorter talks. Say 15~20 minute showcase talks.
We still have three full weeks until camp. If you have ideas or some extra time to help, please post in the forums or contact us.
