Bio

Crystal Williams founded DrupalCampLA in 2007 and organized DrupalCampLA 2007 and DrupalCampLA 2008. In addition, she helped coordinate DrupalCamp Seattle in 2006.

Crystal is the VP Professional Services for Workhabit. Blending 10 years of development, marketing, and design agency experience, she has contributed technical architecture, user experience design and project management to a variety of web, mobile, and print campaigns.

Previous to joining Workhabit, Crystal was the Director of Technology Projects for Warner Bros. Records and a Producer for award-winning boutique design agency, Sisu.

Past clients include The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, MySpace Mobile, Hearst Magazines, Sony, ABC, Nonesuch Records, Wasserman Media Group, Metallica, and Madonna.

Crystal holds a Dual Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Media Studies from Scripps College in Claremont, California, where her focus in digital arts, network economics, and game theory led to a thesis in copy protection and pricing strategy in the computer software market.

Crystal is passionate about open source, web standards, and open knowledge transfer. Her brief guide to organizing unconferences has been translated into French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese.
