In this session, I’ll give you an overview of what the Services module does, and show you how you can get data out of Drupal and into your external program (think iPhone, Python, Java, Ruby, or other PHP app) using standard web service protocols (xmlrpc, soap, etc).

The myplay.com audio player uses FLV streaming for audio. The provides fast playback as well as some security to the tracks.

Arnold demo

Thanks for the presentation, Scott. It really helped clear up some things for me.

One question: On your demo of the album/song player (the Arnold soundtrack) you said one requirement was playing the audio quickly after hitting the play button and I was wondering if that was accomplished using a streaming server or did it pull straight from the file system?
